Construction Details
Standard GMA 48x40 stringer pallet has 7 deckboards on top (3 leading edge boards 5.5 inches wide, 4 stringer boards 3.5 inches wide) and 5 deckboards on bottom (2 boards 3.5 inches, 3 boards 5.5 inches). Notches in stringers allow partial 4-way fork entry.
Standard GMA 48x40 block pallet has 9 blocks (4 corners + 4 mid-edges + 1 center) measuring approximately 4 inches × 5.5 inches × 4.5 inches each. 11 deckboards top, full 4-way fork entry.
Lumber: stringer pallets typically use 2x4 stringers (1.5 × 3.5 inches actual) of mixed hardwood or Southern Yellow Pine. Deckboards 0.5-0.75 inch thick. Block pallets use 4x4 blocks.
