Stringer pallets are the dominant US specification - the GMA 48x40 is a stringer pallet. Construction: 3 stringers (1.5" thick); 7 top deck boards; 5 bottom deck boards; 9" fork notches cut into stringers for 4-way entry compatibility. Standard capacity: 4,600 lbs static / 2,800 lbs racked. Stringer pallets cost 30-50% less than block pallets and dominate manual operations and grocery distribution.
